"Under Seat Stowage: No more than two pieces which when combined do not exceed 23cm x 41cm x 57cm
• Overhead Bin Stowage: (One of the following items per passenger may be stowed in the overhead bins)
- One soft-sided, single suit garment bag which, when folded in half does not exceed: 23cm x 41cm x 57cm
- One briefcase not exceeding 11 cm in thickness
- One laptop not exceeding 11 cm in thickness
- One purse not exceeding 11cm in thickness
- No single piece should exceed 10 kg (22Ibs)"

| Checked Baggage Allowance |
Each ticketed passenger is allowed to carry on two pieces of checked baggage, each weighing not more than 70lb/32kg nad not exceeding the dimension of 62 linear inches/158cm (l + w + h).
Please note the following Exceptions:
Aurora Concierge customers are permitted 4 pieces of baggage when traveling on Canadian North flights only
Air Canada Super Elite and Elite members are permitted 4 pieces of baggage when traveling on Canadian North or Air Canada operated flights
Star Alliance Gold members are permitted 3 pieces of baggage when traveling on Canadian North or Air Canada operated flights
Duffel/B4 bag, up to 80” (203 cm), will be permitted in lieu of 2 pieces of regular checked baggage
Any single piece of baggage exceeding 100 lbs/45 kg or 115 linear inches/292 cm will not be accepted for carriage as checked baggage and must be shipped as cargo. For enquiries, please contact 1-800-663-2223
Infants traveling without a ticket are entitled to 1 piece of checked baggage, plus a collapsible stroller or other baby carrier or device in addition to the allotted free allowance. |
| Excess Baggage Rules |
Additional baggage will be charged at the following rates:
Excess charges can be calculated as follows:
$50 per item for the third and subsequent pieces of baggage accepted on space availability
$95 per item for the third and subsequent pieces of baggage guaranteed to travel (tagged as “Priority Excess” baggage)
$50 for overweight baggage between 70lb/32 kg – 100lb/45kg
$50 for oversize baggage between 62 linear inches/158 cm – 115 linear inches/292 cm (
$100 for baggage, which are both overweight & oversize
$100 for each excess piece, which is overweight
$100 for each excess piece, which is oversize
$150 for each excess piece, which is overweight and oversize |
Delayed/lost/damaged

Please report any delayed, damaged or lost baggage to Canadian North ground staff at the destination airport immediately after arrival. |
| Sports Equipment |
You may check certain sports equipment (fishing gear and golf equipment) in lieu of your checked baggage allowance. However, additional charges apply for others (bicycles).
Bicycles will be assessed a service charge of $75.00 (plus GST and provincial taxes) and will not be included in determining the free baggage allowance. Bicycles must have handlebars fixed sideways and pedals removed before acceptance. |
