"The following rules apply for carry-on baggage on all Copa Airlines:
• Economy Class- Passengers are allowed to carry on one item weighing up to 22lb/10kg and not exceeding 46 linear inches.
• Business Class- Passengers are allowed to carry-on two items each weighing up to 22lb/10 kg and not exceeding 46 linear inches." |
| Checked Baggage Allowance |
For travel to/from the United States, San Juan and Mexico, the following rules apply for checked baggage:
Economy Class- passengers can check 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 50lb/23kg
Business Class- passengers can check up to 3 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 50lb/23 Kg (50 lb)
For each bag, the maximum dimensions allowed is 62 linear inches
Baggage weighing more than 45 kgs or exceeding 107 linear inches are not accepted and has to shipped as cargo. |
| Excess Baggage Rules |
Baggage weighing between 23 kg- 45 kg, with dimensions between 63- 107 linear inches are considered as excess baggage. Additional fees apply for all excess baggage, which may vary depending on your route. For more details, please refer to the Copa Airlines website. |
Delayed/lost/damaged

| Sports Equipment |
Sports gear like bowling, golf and fishing equipment, boogie boards, diving equipment and snorkel gear will be charged at a fixed fee of $30 for each provided they're within the prescribed limits of checked baggage allowance. For more details, please contact Copa Airlines reservations. |
