| Checked Baggage Allowance |
The following checked baggage rules apply depending on your route and class of service-
First Class- passengers are allowed to check up to 88lb/40 kg of baggage
Intermediate Class- passengers can check up to 66lb/30kg of baggage
Economy Class- passengers can check up to 44lb/20kg of baggage
Infants paying 10% of the total fare are entitled to 22lb/10kg of baggage, plus one fully collapsible stroller/ pushchair or infant's carrying basket or car seat.
For travel to/from the US and Canada-
First Class passengers can check 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 70lb/32kg and not exceeding the dimension of 62 linear inches/158 cm
Economy Class passengers can check 2 pieces of baggage, each weighing not more than 70lb/32kg and not exceeding the dimension of 62 linear inches/158 cm. Also, the sum of the linear dimensions of the two pieces must not exceed 107 inches/273 cm |
| Excess Baggage Rules |
Baggage weighing in excess of the limits of free allowance will be charged at the rate per kilogram (2.2 pounds) of one and one-half percent (1.5%) of the highest normal direct adult one way economy class fare. For more details, please contact your nearest JALways office. |
